Does Twitch.tv run too many ads?

I'm someone who will watch streams for hours when doing other things. But I've noticed over the last year that Twitch has so many ads; sometimes you have to watch unskippable ads for 3 minutes or so every 15 minutes.

Not to mention, when you find a new stream you want to check out, you automatically have to watch 5 ads to even see what's going on.

I know this is all to incentivise people to subscribe to their favorite streamers, but does anyone else feel like the ads on Twitch go way too far now?

For sure.

It used to be fine when you could adblock all of them... but these ads are literally unblockable x.x Scary!

Just buy twitch turbo and you basically are subbed to every channel.  You should never see ads after that and I think it's only 9.99 a monthhttps://www.twitch.tv/turbo

Ooo. Can you use your Prime Subscription for that? Or is it entirely separate?

It's completely separate.  You can use twitch prime to support one of your favorite streamers, but the turbo subscription doesn't support anyone but mr bezos

I've found this has gotten a lot better recently. Not sure if they've toned it down or just adblock gotten better at blocking them.

I think it has gotten a little better. I rarely get those 3 minute consecutive ads anymore and just the little 30 second ones.
