MapleStory Lara Skill Build Guide

April 2, 2022

Lara is the latest class added to MapleStory who combines the power of land spirits and magic to deal powerful damage to mobs. Lara is part of the Anima class of characters, as a Mage job using INT equipment. This class is available from December 1st in GMS for all to play and was released during the MapleStory On Air update.

Lara Overview

Lara is a unique class that utilizes the power of land spirits that create massive explosions to mobs on the map, provide buffs and other effects as Lara moves around and activates them. Lara was released for the MapleStory V228 On Air update and comes from the new region called Narin, a village that awakens a mysterious bell that Lara uses. The last Anima class to be released was Hoyoung and now it finally has a new class to share CashShop inventory with!

Training Lara is incredibly fun and satisfying. From second job onwards, you get access to the dragon veins that will randomly spawn around the map. You can then interact with them to either deal massive AOE attacks, increase your damage via temporary buffs or use them for mobility. It will probably be one of the fastest level 200 classes and then from 5th job going forward you'll be able to map control even the biggest of maps with your gigantic AOE attacks.

Lara bossing is also very useful. It is slightly RNG as the different types of Dragon Veins that spawn can sometimes make for unpredictable situations; Wind Veins Manifestations can give super knockback but if they don't spawn in the right place, you'll need to use your Dragon Vein Conversion skill to transform it, which can be difficult in hectic boss fights. Lara is a new class, so the damage output is great and scales very well into 5th job. Lara doesn't have an Iframe skill either, but plenty of passive support skills to help with party bossing in end-game.
