MapleStory Luminous Skill Build Guide

February 19, 2024

Luminous is a MapleStory Hero class that wields the power of dark and light to create powerful mobbing attacks. Luminous is a mage class and wields the Shining Rod weapon to deal damage. Luminous is often described as one of the best mobbers in the game, with attacks that can hit lots of mobs in large maps. They also make for a decent bossing class, with lots of potential for dealing high DPS.

Luminous Overview

Luminous is part of the MapleStory Heroes group of characters. Luminous was released in Tempest patch (124) on December 2012. Luminous was part of the group of heroes that defeated the Black Mage; their unique playstyle is that Luminous has to balance between using both light and darkness skills in order to achieve maximum damage. When using the Equilibrium skill, they get access to powerful burst skills and damage.

Luminous is part of the MapleStory Heroes classes, which include: Aran, Evan, Mercedes, Phantom, Luminous and Shade.

Training Luminous is one of the best classes in MapleStory. All of their skills have great mobbing and when you hit 4th job, you get access to your Reflection skill, which chains attacks to mobs all around you, making it a very stress-free class to play. The only bit of mechanics you have to worry about is making sure to switch between dark and light skills to max out your damage; however, once you can one shot mobs, this doesn't matter too much.

As a bossing class, Luminous is a steady addition to any raid party. Their main burst damage comes from using Equilibrium, as it offers lots of damage on a cooldown. They get a free bind from their Hyper Skills in Armageddon and Ethereal Form offers them an i-frame to use against 1-hit KO attacks like in Lotus and Damien.
