MapleStory Akechi Mitsuhide Boss and Prequest Guide - The Asura Crisis

Akechi Mitsuhide is a boss in MapleStory that players can clear once a week. Players who are level 200+ can challenge the boss and you are required to complete The Asura Crisis Prequests before you can challenge him, which takes less than 30 minutes.

Akechi Mitsuhide drops the Silver Wolf Coins that can be used to purchase Lv. 160 Silver Wolf weapons.

Akechi Mitsuhide Boss Fight

Phase 1

HP: 150,000,000,000

Counter-Death

Both phases for Akechi Mitsuhide have a mechanic where each time you get hit it adds to a counter above your head. When this counter reaches 30, you will be one-hit KO'd. If you managed to avoid being hit, the counter will slowly go down over time too.

Slash Attacks

Akechi Mitsuhide performs several knock-back slash attacks with his sword. The damage by these attacks is roughly 10% HP, but they can prove annoying try to get close to Akechi. One Slash will knock you into the air, the other will knock you backwards.

Blue Pulse Attack

At any time, Akechi can fire a blue-pulse attack across the entire map that deals around 30% HP to everyone who gets hit by it.

Jump Down Slash Attack

Akechi will also from time to time use his jump-down slash attack to deal around 10K HP.

Damage Reflect

Akechi also has damage reflect that can turn on. Hitting Akechi during this mode will reflect the damage back at you- so be careful!

Blue Shadow Mode

During this mode, Akechi will turn the background of the map black and will start summoning shadow versions of himself that fall from the sky. If these hit you, they will slow you down. Each hit will contribute to your counter and this is where you can start stacking up lots of counts. The best way is to try to just rush/teleport skils to dodge the shadows.

Phase 2 has all the of the mechanics of Phase 1 in addition to the following moves:

Blue Shadow Attack

Occasionally, Akechi will summon three blue shadows of himself. These will always appear in front of him and getting hit will cause you to be 1-hit KO. The best way to dodge this attack is by running towards Akechi and being behind him (rather than running away from the attacks).

Amaterasu Equipment

Amaterasu Equipment is dropped by the boss Mori Ranmaru (HARD).

This equipment set has a 9-set effect where Silver Wolf Weapons act as 2 pieces in the set. Each Silver Wolf Weapon costs 20 Silver Wolf Coins that drop from Aketchi Mitsuhide boss.
