MapleStory Cadena Skill Build Guide

February 19, 2024

Cadena is a MapleStory Nova class that uses chains to attack enemies, grapple to nearby platforms and perform devastating combos on enemies. Cadena has been reborn after an injury left her in a deep slumber, now ready to take on the world of MapleStory once again. Equipped with a new weapon type called Chain, Cadena is a thief type class that prioritizes LUK equipment and weapon attack.

Cadena Overview

Cadena was released in patch V190 Nova: Liberation Of Cadena on November 2017. Cadena is part of the Nova Class group, which includes Kasier and Angelic Buster. Cadena's hometown is Savage Terminal, where she was raised by Shadowdealers in a world full of mischief. Like most classes of MapleStory, Cadena's sub weapon is a Warp Forge that can be purchased from the Secondary Weapon Seller in Leafre.

Cadena is a class with great damage and really fun mobbing mechanics. If you like a class that is all about chaining attacks (no pun intended), using different skills and being very mobile, then Cadena is for you. Cadena also has a lot of avoidability stat, meaning she can dodge many attacks from mobs. By using different skills, you stack up damage buffs, making Cadena a formidable damage-dealing class.

As a bossing class, Cadena excels at damage dealing. She has an iframe for dodging 1-hit KO attacks too and has some useful flying skills to help dodge floor based attacks (Like Lotus's lightning attacks). As Cadena is primarily a combo class, part of the managing the skill of this class is based on executing your combos without fault; this can be slightly tricky as some skills are a bit clunky and hard to manage. The reward for mastering them though is high, with top-tier damage.
