MapleStory Mo Xuan Skill Build Guide

May 1, 2025

Mo Xuan is the latest class to be added to MapleStory GMS, a new Pirate class that deals damage with a flurry of punches and kicks. Originally from the Chinese version of MapleStory, Mo Xuan is now available for all to play!

This class is available from April 29th 2025 in GMS for all to play and was released during the MapleStory 20th Anniversary Update.

Mo Xuan Overview

Mo Xuan is a combo-class that isn't too difficult to play. Your aim to get a stack of Divine Fist buffs by first using your Xuanshan skills, followed by a Divine Art Skill. It makes for interesting gameplay and the fact that the Divine Fist buff lasts for a long time, makes it a class you can enjoy whilst grinding.

Mo Xuan has a great set of bossing skills with several I-Frames available for avoiding 1-hit shots, it's own unique Bind skill and plenty of damage for a modern MapleStory class. You do have to manage your skills in bossing to make sure your final damage is up, but overall it comes with plenty of tools to avoid attacks and burst damage. Once you reach 5th and 6th job, Mo Xuan can burst every 3 minutes.

Even if you don't plan on making Mo Xuan your main MapleStory character, it's well worth training up to 200 for it's Legion Block and Link Skill, both of which are very useful!

Mo Xuan does have a 30-minute story line quest that you'll need to complete in order to access the rest of Maple World. You'll also have several Required quests you'll need to go back to and complete throughout the level 1-200.

Check out the New MapleStory Class Preparation Guide for getting ready to play your new Mo Xuan.

Mo Xuan works by first using a Xuanshan Arts skill, then following it up with a Divine Art Skill. In later jobs, this will give you a stackable buff that will increase your damage.

By linking skills, you'll activate the final damage boost of the Divine Art Skill.

You'll want to max your mobility skills first, since getting around maps will help speed up things a little more than damage at this stage in the game.

Awaken and Physical Training will give you some decent damage buffs (all passive!).
