Ren is available from November 12th 2025 in GMS for all to play and was showcased during MapleCon as part of MapleStory GMS's Winter Update.
Ren Overview
Ren starts their adventure in the town of Vallora, where a dragon-like creature called an Imugi befriends Ren. The creature's name is called Saya but becomes ill and it's up to Ren to find a magical elixir to save Saya.
Ren also has the option to skip to Level 30, missing out all the beginner storyline for Ren. You can choose to view a Summary of the story when you create Ren too.
Ren was made to be simple to play so that both new MapleStory Players and veterans can enjoy the class without having to worry too much about mechanics. On your way to 5th job, you'll mostly use just one attacking skill called the Plum Blossom Sword which gets upgraded with each job advancement. You'll gain lots of passive skills that increase the amount of attacks you deal, allowing you to zip through maps without having to think too much about skill management.
In 5th job, Ren gets four new skills that all help with damage dealing. Final Plum Blossom Fury summons a giant tree that attacks enemies around you for 30 seconds; Soul Immeasurable deals divine strikes as you attack and Dancing Annihilation allows you to attack and reduce incoming damage by 50%.
Overall Ren is a very easy class to play, with lots of mobility and skills that can clear maps easy.
Check out the New MapleStory Class Preparation Guide for getting ready to play your new Ren.
