A huge announcement for Lorcana TCG was revealed on the latest Lorcana livestream, including the release date of the anticipated Fabled set. We also got lots of exciting announcements regarding the future of Lorcana and when the Lorcana World Championships will be held.
Lorcana Fabled has been teased since the start of the year with a interesting preview of old-school Mickey Mouse.
Lorcana Fabled Set Details
We now know that Lorcana Fabled will be the 9th Set of Lorcana TCG series.
The set is scheduled to release September 5th 2025 worldwide! It will also have a pre-release date of August 29th 2025 for local hobby stores.
Fabled will feature two brand new Lorcana Rarity Types: Epic and Iconic.
Iconic Rarity will be the new rarest tier of card, with only 2 cards per set being Iconic and being rarer than Enchanted! We got our first preview of the Mickey Mouse: Brave Little Prince card that will be appearing in the new Fabled Set. The other Iconic card will be Minnie Mouse that was featured in the artwork of the set.
Epic Rarity will be have a special foil treatment and appear more often than Enchanted cards. There will be a total of 18 Epic cards in the new Fabled set.
Fabled Reprints
The new Fabled Set will also feature cards from previous sets. These cards are exactly the same as ones released in earlier sets, with the exception that the set number in the bottom corner will be different.
They include:
- Stich (Rock Star) - The First Chapter
- Tinker Bell (Giant Fairy) - The First Chapter
- Winnie The Pooh (Hunny Wizard) - Rise Of The Floodborn
Fabled Cards
We also got previews for other Fabled cards.
A brand new Enchanted card for Winnie The Pooh (Hunny Wizard) will be added to Fabled. This is the same card from Rise Of The Floodborn, but in Enchanted form.
Elsa (Snow Queen) will also be featured in Epic rarity. This card is very similiar to the most expensive Lorcana card from The First Chapter. The Epic version will feature a new Rainbow Foil Treatment.
Fabled Products
So far we've only been shown one new product for Fabled set, and that is a new Starter Set box. It will contain:
- 4 Fabled Booster Packs
- 1 Promo Tinker Bell Giant Fairy card
- 1 Mickey Mouse Binder
- 1 Collector's Guide
Lorcana World Championship Announcement
We also finally got the announcement of when the Lorcana World Championship will take place.
If you manage to qualify through playing competitive Lorcana, you'll be able to participate on June 28th-29th at Disney World Resort.
Some new set championship cards were also shown off, including Maleficent.
They also mentioned new updates to set rotation, including which cards will not be allowed as the series progresses. When Set 9 launches, Sets 1-4 will no longer be allowed to play in competitive tournaments for the Core Constructed format.
Fans will also be able to earn a new promo for Worlds by watching the Championship through the Twitch stream. They didn't provide any further details on what you'll actually need to do to get your hands on it though!
