The First Chapter - Best Cards To Pull - Lorcana TCG

August 15, 2023

Lorcana TCG The First Chapter set is less than a week away from it's launch and we've chosen our best cards to pull list!

Disney Lorcana's first set is due to release this week (August 18th 2023) and it marks the beginning of a brand new TCG entering the market. Lorcana was first announced late last year and now we are finally able to get our hands on the cards.

Lorcana aims to release four sets per year, with the first set titled The First Chapter containing a total of 216 cards. You can find the entire The First Chapter Card List in our new Lorcana Collection Tracker.

Lorcana is being created by Ravensburger, who have so far shown off the product at various conventions including D23 and Gen Con.

Like all TCGs, some cards are more rare than others. As this is the first set in the Lorcana TCG, knowing what cards will be the most sought after is tough to analyze. That being said, we've chosen our favourites below and ones we think Disney fans will go mad for.

Disney Lorcana comes in Booster Boxes, Starter Decks, Troves and Booster Packs.

The First Chapter - Best Cards To Pull

Let's dive into our best cards to pull list! If you've got any suggestions for this list, use the comments section below!

Elsa - Spirit Of Winter - Enchanted Rare

Enchanted

The first card on our list is going to be the Elsa Enchanted Rare card. This secret card was revealed during Gen Con, along with 12 other cards for the hidden rarity Enchanted Rare.

Enchanted Rare cards are some of the rarest cards in the set to pull, with rumors circulating it could be as hard as 1 in 4 booster boxes. We won't know until more players open packs.

Of the Enchanted Rares, the Elsa card really stands out. Elsa, is of course, an incredibly famous character from the Frozen franchise.

Mickey Mouse - Brave Little Tailor - Legendary

Mickey Mouse

Legendary

This card was part of the D23 Promo set (with a special first edition and D23 symbol on the card) and given out for free to attendees back when Lorcana was unknown. This card now sells for $1000+ on third-party marketplaces like Ebay!

For those who missed out on a chance to get this card then, you can now get The First Chapter version of this card in Legendary form.

Ursula - Power Hungry - Legendary

Legendary

Another great Legendary to hunt down is the Ursula card. Legendaries come in both non-foil and foil cards, so getting any Legendary in foil will up it's rarity!

Ursula is of course from The Little Mermaid and is the main villain in the story, created all the way back in 1989!

Aurora - Dreaming Guardian - Enchanted

Enchanted

Our second Enchanted rare on our Best Pulls list is this amazing Aurora card. This was one of the first Enchanted cards ever pulled, with early pictures of it being shown via Discord from Gen Con attendees.

Collecting all the Enchanted cards is going to be quite tough with the rumored pull-rate; the early window prices for these cards may be super high too due to product shortages.

Stitch - Carefree Surfer - Enchanted

Stitch

Enchanted

Stitch is featured quite a lot in Disney's Lorcana: The First Chapter set. There are five different Stitch cards to collect, with the Enchanted Rare being the pick of the lot.

All Enchanted cards come in a unique foil that other foil cards do not have. The foil is similar to that of the D23 Promo cards, making them stand out even more!

Rapunzel - Gifted with Healing - Legendary

Rapunzel

Legendary

Rapunzel makes two appearances in The First Chapter set list, including this Legendary version. The first set of Lorcana features a lot of classic characters from Disney franchises, so it will be interesting what direction set two goes in.

Stitch - Rock Star - Super Rare

Super Rare

This card was also featured in the D23 promo card list, but you had to purchase it. It came in a binder of 6 other cards and now sells for thousands of dollars on third-party marketplaces.

In The First Chapter, this card is a Super Rare, which is a rarity below Legendary. So this card should be a bit easier to pull!

Beast - Wolfsbane - Legendary

Beast

Beast

Legendary

The Beauty and The Beast gets quite a few cards featured in The First Chapter, and whilst we could have included the Belle Enchanted Rare, we love the artwork on this Beast Legendary card.

Pulling this as a foil is definitely one of the better cards to get in this set!

Tinkerbell - Giant Fairy - Enchanted

Enchanted

This might be one of the best Enchanted cards to pull from The First Chapter due to it's amazing artwork. With product about to go into the hands of fans very soon, we'll get a good idea of where these cards stand in terms of third-party marketplace price.

Either way, getting this card will be one of the best pulls from the set and many collector's already want to try and get this card in a graded PSA 10!

A Whole New World - Super Rare

A Whole New World

Super Rare

We haven't included many cards in our list based on actual game play, but the card A Whole New World is one of the favorite cards to have in your Deck when playing Lorcana.

It's rarity is a Super Rare, and many decks recommend having multiple copies of this card! For added flex, you can even include this card as a foil into your deck!

Your Favorite Cards from The First Chapter

With over 200 cards in The First Chapter, we couldn't possibly included all our favorites. Let us know your favorite cards below in the comments!
