In order to craft the Lightheart sword, you're going to need to first collect all the special beads hidden in Airoheart. These beads have their own mini-puzzles to solve and this guide will take you through all of them so you waste no time!
You'll need to have completed the dungeon The Labyrinthian and crafted the special Lightheart Sword in order to fight the final boss, so better start collecting those beads!
Some of these beads can be gotten very early game; check to see if you have any already by going into your Inventory and selecting the Other Items tab and then go to page 3.
There are a total of 5 beads to collect. What do you do with the beads, you ask? Find out in the next guide!
Red Bead Location
The Red Bead requires you to have the Rune Of Kobold Tech, which can be gotten by going to Fengrileye Forest and speaking to Mandy.
Once you have that, head to the bottom of Al'kashmiri Basin where you'll come across two pyramids in the sand. You'll need to complete this mini-puzzle to obtain an item called Strange Apparatus.
Enter the bottom-most Pyramid and take out the mobs. Then use your Rune Of Kobold Tech to teleport across the gap.
In the next room, take out the spiders and watch out for the plants firing at you. Head left and up the stairs out of the top door.
You'll come to a big map; you'll want to take the immediate left first. Here you'll come to a map where there is a statue in the middle, surrounded by conveyor belts.
Hit the statue and now make your way back to the big room and take the door on the right (the barriers are now down).
In the next room, keep heading right. You'll eventually come to more glowing rocks where you need to use your Kobold Tech Rune to get across. There are many platforms here; you want to keep a lookout for the tiles with the rune marking on as that will tell you where you can use your Kobold Tech Rune.
You'll eventually head to the bottom left exit and come to a Treasure Chest containing the Strange Apparatus item. If you head south from this room, you can escape out of the second pyramid.
Next you want to make your way past the Pyramids and head down a path that leads you to your right. Follow it all the way along.
You'll come across Fripperyquip who will give you the Red Bead in exchange for the Strange Apparatus!
Blue Bead Location
To obtain the Blue Bead, you must first obtain a Sheet Of Music. This can be found in a small cave at the bottom of Llanfair.
Inside, you'll come across a Rogue. Plant a bomb at the top of his cave to reveal a secret entrance.
Follow the cave to your left and you'll find the exit.
In this next room, you'll find the Sheet Of Music from a chest. When you exit the cave, you'll have to fight the Rogue.
Now you need to find the cave near the waterfalls at the top of the map.
Inside you'll meet Fossegrim who will give you the Blue Bead in exchange for the sheet of music.
Green Bead Location
In order to get the Green Bead, you need to complete a mini-dungeon at the top-right of Fengrileye Forest.
Inside the house, take the room on the left.
Inside, light the lantern and several pots will come flying at you.
Now head back to the main room and go into the room on your right.
Push the red block to your right and then head back to the room on your left.
The door at the top of the room is now open.
You'll come to B1. Head to the door at the bottom of the room. Kill all the gnome mobs inside.
Now head back to B1, and head to the door on the bottom left.
In this room there is a pot on the right of the room; underneath it is a big red switch. Press it and then head back to B1.
Now the room on the right is unlocked. Head through it.
In this room, all the pots will fire at you, one at a time. Once they'll all been smashed, the door at the top opens. Head through it.
Here you'll come to a strange room; if you use the door on your right, you'll continually go in circles. Instead, you just need to go into the door you came out of.
This will take you to F1. Enter the first door on your right. Then go to the last door on your left. Now enter the last door on your right.
At the bottom of this room is a pot with a red switch under it. Press it. Now head back to the last door on your left. The door at the top of this room is now unlocked.
Under the pot is another red switch. Press it. Now you can take the door at the bottom of the entire room.
Here you'll meet Flabberggast who will give you the Green Bead!
Purple Bead Location
In order to get this bead, you need to acquire the Rune Of Haste and completed the first dungeon The Monastery. You can purchase the Rune Of Haste from a man in a cave (it's called Mystery Rune).
Once you have the Rune Of Haste, you then need to go to the bottom left of Llanfair.
You'll meet Fleetinfeet, who challenges you to a race around a small course. To win, you need to cast Rune Of Haste and use your Dodge roll ability.
When you win, you'll be given the Purple Bead!
Orange Bead Location
The Orange Bead can be obtained from a cave at the right of the Red Region area.
Inside you'll find Flibbertigibbet who will convince you to go into his arena.
Here you must face 7 waves of monsters! Defeat them all and as a reward you'll get the Orange Bead.
Once you have all 5 beads, its time to use them to activate the portals in Fengrileye Forest and find the shards of the Lightheart Sword. This will be covered in the next guide.
