Key Shiver Snowfields Interactions
In New Pokemon Snap, there are variety of different Pokemon you can take pictures of, with different ranks and ratings. You will need to use all the tools available to you in order to get the perfect shot and some of them can be easy to miss when doing a run-through of a course.
We highly recommend you complete the New Pokemon Snap main story before you try to get all the snaps, as you will unlock lots of useful features like Turbo Mode and Burst Mode that can make capturing specific shots of Pokemon a lot easier.
Shiver Snowfields (Day)
- If you unlock the two alternative routes and head into a cave, a Froslass will perform a tornado. Getting a close-up for the 3-star Diamond.
- Throw an Fluffruit at a Weaville and snap it close-up for the 2-star diamond.
- Skarmory will fly into a cave in the middle of the level. If you throw an Fluffruit, it will roar and you can get a 3-star diamond snap.
Shiver Snowfields (Night)
- Feed Aurorus a Fluffruit and get a picture of him eating it for the 3 star Diamond
- A sleeping Jynx can be found in the second alternative route into an ice cave. Snap it for the 1-star Diamond.
- You can get Weaville 1-Star Diamond just before the second alternative route; Weaville will run out of the cave chasing a Furret. Snap away!
- Take a picture of the Abomasnow as the Crabdominable knocks snow onto it and it summons a storm for the 4-star diamond picture.
- The sleeping Vanilluxe can get you the 1-star Diamond in the second alternative route in the Ice cave.
- Snap the Avalugg that Jynx is riding (that you throw an Illumina Orb at the unlock Suicune) for the 3 star diamond.
- Hit the Aurorus with a Fluffruit and take a snap of it recoiling for 2 star diamond.
- Throw a Fluffruit at the two Beatic sitting on the side of an iceberg in the alternative route for the 3-star Diamond.
- When Suicune scares Delibird (just before his 4-star pose), take a picture to get the 2-star Diamond.
- Snap the Jynx next to the frozen creature in the Ice wall after you Illuminate the Crystalbloom for the 3-star Diamond.
- If you throw Fluffruit at the a small Igloo at the beginning of the level (a Mightyena will be sniffing around) it will break and reveal two Snorunt and a Piplup. Snap the Snorunt for the 4-star Diamond.
Alternative Routes Shiver Snowfields
You can unlock various alternative routes in New Pokemon Snap courses, leading you to find brand new Pokemon and get those unique diamond snaps. To unlock these routes, you will have to perform a variety of tasks:
Shiver Snowfields (Day)
- You can unlock a new route at the beginning of the level by locating the Sandslash to your immediate left on a mountain side. Throw an Illumina Orb at him so that he drills directly into the snow. The Sandslash will then reappear further along on another mountain (about 2 seconds later). Throw another Illumina Orb to unlock the route.
Shiver Snowfields (Night)
- You can unlock another route in the night version of Shiver Snowfields. First you must have unlocked the first alternative route above in the day mode. In night mode, use that route and you will find yourself with a Crabdominable walking across to a tree. If you throw an Illumina Orb at the Crabodominable, he will hit the tree so that snow falls on the Abomasnow, who in turns summons a snowstorm and makes Froslass appear. This will unlock the second alternative route (for both day and night versions!).
