Key Sweltering Sands Interactions

In New Pokemon Snap, there are variety of different Pokemon you can take pictures of, with different ranks and ratings. You will need to use all the tools available to you in order to get the perfect shot and some of them can be easy to miss when doing a run-through of a course.

We highly recommend you complete the New Pokemon Snap main story before you try to get all the snaps, as you will unlock lots of useful features like Turbo Mode and Burst Mode that can make capturing specific shots of Pokemon a lot easier.

Sands (Day)

  • You will come across a Tornado with three Crystalblooms surrounding it. Use Illumina Orbs light up the Crystalblooms and the Tornado will disappear, revealing Flygon.
  • You can get 4 star Cacnea picture when he is spinning inside the Tornado in the first area.

Sands (Night)

  • As soon as a Trapinch jumps out of the ground, you can snap him for 3 Diamond stars in mid-air.
  • Throw a Flufffruit for Kangaskhan and snap him dancing for 2 diamond star.
  • At the end of the level Minor will sprinkle star dust, get the 4 star picture here.
  • Sleeping Onix can get you 2 diamond star.
  • Capture a picture of Flygon waking up from a Fluffruit being thrown at him for 2 diamond star.

Alternative Sweltering Sands

You can unlock various alternative routes in New Pokemon Snap courses, leading you to find brand new Pokemon and get those unique diamond snaps. To unlock these routes, you will have to perform a variety of tasks:

Sweltering Sands (Day)

Swletering Sands - Alternative Route (Day)

  • Reach Level 2 on Sands (Day) and as you approach the second area you can go to the right of the small lake.

Sweltering Sands (Night)

Sweltering Sands - Alternative Route (Night)

  • Reach Level 2 on Sands (Night) and as you approach the second area you can go to the left of the small lake.
