Shaymin is a Legendary Pokemon that you can find in New Pokemon Snap in three different areas, allowing you to get all those rare 4 Star Diamond photos. Shaymin is a generation IV Pokemon, introduced with the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl games. In New Pokemon Snap, Shaymin will likely be one of the first Legendary Pokemon you come across. How To Unlock Shaymin in New Pokemon Snap
Shaymin appears in 3 locations in New Pokemon Snap, all of them in the Florio Island area.
In order to get Shaymin to appear in the Illumina Spot, you need to throw an Illumina Orb at the top of an edge cliff that has a bit of grass on it. The cliff edge is to your left and Meganium walks past it during the course. If you throw an Illumina Orb at it, Shaymin will run out to the edge and hang around.
If you get Shaymin to come out before the Meganium comes, Shaymin will actually jump on top of the Meganium's head and ride it across the course.
Shaymin appears in two locations in Florio Nature Park (Day). The first opportunity is when you come to the area with the Bidoof Dam. On the left hand side of the map, Shaymin will be snoozing in a bush next to a Pichu and Grookey. As the Dodrio runs past, it will wake the Shaymin up.
You can also find Shaymin in Florio Nature Park (day) snoozing in the grass at the end of the level.
It will be sleeping right next a to Crystalbloom, throw an Illumina Orb at the Crystalbloom to wake him up.

1 Star Shaymin
The best way to get 1 Star Diamond Shaymin is to do the Florio Nature Park Day Course (Research Level 3). You'll find Shaymin right at the end hidden in the tall long grass to your right. Take a close-up of it sleeping for the 1 Star Diamond Shot.
2 Star Shaymin
2 Star Diamond Shaymin can be gotten from the first sighting of Shaymin in Floria Park (Day). Shaymin is hiding in the bush to your left next to the Pichu and Grookey. He will be fast asleep; the Dodrio will run past you and then run back up towards you- as he passes you for the second time coming towards you, the Shaymin will wake up. This is when you want to snap away to get the 2 Star Diamond photo.
3 Star Shaymin
3 Star Diamond Shaymin is getting a shot of Shaymin jumping in mid-air in the Florio Day Course. You should use the burst camera for this as it can be quite difficult to get the perfect centered shot of Shaymin jumping. To do this, go to the end of the Day course and find Shaymin sleeping next to the Crystalbloom. Throw an Illumina Orb and it will jump up- hit it with your Burst camera to get the perfect 3 star Diamond shot.
4 Star Shaymin
4 Star Diamond Shaymin can be gotten by taking a picture of the Shaymin jumping with glee just as he is about to jump onto Meganium's head. It's best to use the Turbo mode here, so that you can boost yourself ahead of the Meganium and get a good shot of Shaymin jumping.
Myth Of The Nature Park
Myth Of The Nature Park is a Research Title that requires you to perform a series of tasks with Shaymin at the end of Florio Park (Day) course.
As you enter the last section of the course, throw an Illumina Orb at the Pichu hiding in the tall grass to your left. It will jump out of the grass and do a small pose for you.
Then locate the sleeping Shaymin next to the Crystalbloom at the end of the level. Wake it up by throwing an Illumina Orb at the Crystalbloom.
The Shaymin will then run around to the other side of the course and find the Pichu and Grookey dancing by a Crystalbloom. Throw an Illumina Orb at the Crystalbloom and snap away. This can also get you the 4 Star Diamond Shaymin.
