The 3D Printer is a building you can build in World 3 that allows you to automatically print resources to use for crafting, upgrades and more.

The 3D Printer is one of the best mechanics in IdleOn and it's well worth investing your time in to getting it up and running as soon as possible. This is how you can obtain millions of a single item without much effort!

You can build the 3D Printer from the Construction Table in World 3. It is one of the first towers you can build. Each time you raise the level of the 3D Printer it will allow you to assign another character to print resources.

3D Printer - How It Works

Once you have build the 3D Printer you are able to assign your IdleOn characters to print resources passively. 

You will need to have obtained the Star Talent Printer Sampling. Make sure you have completed all Hoggindaz quests as he will give you the Star Talent Book to learn the skill.

To begin printing resources, assign Printer Sampling Talent to your attack bar. Then go to a map you want to collect a sample from; you can either print a monster's common item drop or any skill that gives resources like Fishing, Mining or Catching.

Use the Printer Sampling talent from your attack bar and you'll take a printer sample that will be stored in your character's 3D Printer inventory. You can store up to 4 samples by default, but can increase the amount using the Gem Shop's More Sample Spaces. 

Once you have a sample, you can then have the 3D Printer print it by dragging the sample to the middle slots. You can increase the 3D Printer to print two resources per character by purchasing the Crystal 3d Printer from the Gem Shop.

And that's it! Your 3D Printer will now print the sample every hour and store it automatically into your Storage Chest.

You'll notice when you first start 3D Printing that your sample size is very small. The sample size is based off your AFK Rates i.e. the more mobs you are able to kill the higher your sample size will be.

There are also many boosts within IdleOn that will increase your sample size. The easiest one is to increase the level of your Printer Sampling Talent to Level 100, which will give you a sampel size of 18%.

If you're lucky enough to obtain a King Doot Pet Companion, you can also unlock the Divinity God Harreip which will print 3x the amount of sample for all characters!
