Spelunking Skill Guide - IdleOn

Spelunking is a World 7 skill found in Shimmerfin Deep that allows you to dive to the depths of Tunnels for rare items, exciting World 7 upgrades and existing IdleOn account boosts.

Each character has their own Spelunking Skill level, which you can increase by AFKing at special Spelunking Tunnels found in World 7.

Spelunking can be accessed through the Codex menu once you have unlocked World 7 and completed Toobus Goodbus questline.

There are several different Tunnels you can explore in Spelunking, with each one being unlocked once you defeat the Tunnel's boss

When you select a Tunnel, you can choose a specific amount of IdleOn characters to participate in the dive, as long as they have at least 50% Stamina.

Once you enter, you'll always start on Depth 1. You'll need to destroy the objects on the map in order to find the hole that will allow you to descend to the next Depth using Tools; you can unlock more Tools in the Shop.

Each depth gets more and more difficult, requiring more and more POW to destroy the objects. You can increase your POW by purchasing upgrades from the Shop.

Destroying objects in Spelunking will net you a new currency called Amber. Amber is used in the Spelunking Shop to purchase various upgrades and boosts.

You'll also find various other materials called Discoveries, that boost various Spelunking skills and attributes.

Whenever you perform an action, you'll consume Stamina. Each character has their own Stamina amount.

During a Spelunking dive, once a character's Stamina reaches zero the next character will jump in. When all characters have zero Stamina, you'll have to exit the Tunnel and it's game over.

Exiting the Tunnel gives a penalty and you lose 50% of your loot. Instead, you can take the Escape Rope, which randomly appears on different Depths, which allows you to take all your Loot and even gives a bonus multiplier once unlocked.

Each Tunnel also has it's own Boss. These bosses have a lot higher POW requirements that normal objects around them, however, once defeated they will unlock brand new mechanics for both new and old IdleOn systems.

Defeating a Tunnel boss will also unlock the next Tunnel, allowing you to progress further.

To increase the amount of Stamina your IdleOn characters have, you need to increase your Spelunking Skill level. This is done by AFKing at various Tunnel Locations found in the World 7 maps.

Each Spelunking AFK Tunnel also allows you to obtain an item called Lore Chapters. You can consume these Lore Chapters to give you various Spelunking bonuses, such as increase POW multipliers, Stamina regeneration rate and more.

Lore Journal

Lore Journal

The Lore Journal chronicles your progress in Spelunking. It shows the bosses you have defeated, the objects you have managed to collect and any Grand Discoveries you have made.

Grand Discoveries can be found when you purchase the Grand Discoveries shop ugrade. You'll then have a rare chance to find a Grand Discovery in any cave when you destroy the last object type of that cave.

Each Grand Discovery is 2x rarer than the first one you find. There are 10 Grand Discoveries per cave. Each Grand Discovery found will help increase Shop upgrade multis:

Clicking on the View Chapters show you Spelunking Bonuses you can earn by consuming Lore Chapter items.

Lore Chapters can be consumed by holding down on a stack of items. You can only read 5 Chapters per day, but this can be increased by completing the Rift Mastery for Spelunking.
