Mr. Minehead Overview

To play Mr. Minehead, you need to have at least 1 point put into the Research Grid Mr Minehead Linguistics (J6).
Each Mr. Minehead game begins with a grid of unrevealed tiles. Behind those tiles are numbers that deal damage to the opponent, but they can also include Depth Charges.
Depth Charges will make you lose a life and reset the board to a new round. Any damage you had saved up won't be applied to the boss either.
Each boss in Mr. Minehead gradually gets more and more Depth Charges, as well as an increase in HP, making it more and more difficult to take them down.
There are currently 23 different Mr. Minehead bosses, with each one giving an account-wide bonus when defeated.

To defeat the harder bosses, you'll need to purchase upgrades from the Upgrade Tab. Mr. Minehead Upgrades use a new currency called Mine Currency; this is generated over time and can be boosted by various methods (see below).
Each upgrade is locked behind Research Level, so you'll want to keep upgrading your Research skill level as you progress.

Mr. Minehead Guide
Mr. Minehead is one of the most frustrating mini-games on IdleOn and it can often feel like very little progress is being made when playing it.
The key to Mr. Minehead is the Upgrade system.
The Upgrade System uses it's own unique currency called Mine Currency, which generates over time. Like Research, the amount that it generates is higher if you actively play (if you afk, your rate is based on your Research AFK Gains).
To defeat stronger opponents, you need to purchase more and more upgrades. For that, you're going to need lots of Mine Currency boosts from various sources within IdleOn (see bonuses below).

Early on, you'll want to invest mostly in:
- Base Damage I and Base Damage II
- Grid Expansion
- Miney Farmey I
- Golden Tiles
- Legal Cheating Button
The rest of the upgrades should of course be upgraded, but push the ones above first and foremost.
Strategy
The best way to to defeat an opponent is to try and wait for the perfect round. This involves simply revealing 1 tile per round until you get the perfect setup.
The perfect round is usually when you have at least 4-5 Golden Tiles, at least 2 Legal Cheating Buttons remaining and haven't yet used up your Boom Blocker (these are all Minehead Upgrades).
The Golden Tiles are safe tiles that will only ever reveal damage, multipliers and other good stuff.
The Legal Cheating Button will reveal the location of a Depth Charge and the Boom Blocker allows you to reveal a Depth Charge without losing a life.
If you get lucky and combine this with Minehead Copium from Research (your first click is a depth charge- it will wiggle instead of losing a life!), that means you can reveal at least 4 Depth charges off the bat.
Then it's all about luck and RNG- reveal the damage on the golden tiles and then try to go for more tiles to improve that damage. Remember, each tile you reveal multiplies your damage further based on the Big Hit Combos upgrade.
Once you get a good chunk of the boss's HP down, you want to play it safe by only revealing one or two tiles per round.
