Special Talents, also known as Star Talents, are special skills that all IdleOn characters can learn regardless of class or job. Each Special Talent has a unique method of being unlocked and this guide lists all the methods to obtain them.
Your Special Talents can be found by opening up your Talents page and selecting the Star tab. Any missing Special Talents do not show up until you have found the appropriate Special Talent Book.
You get 1 talent point to spend in your Star Tab per level up, but there are certain class talents that also give extra star talent points.
Unlike your class talents, Star Talent Max Level cannot be increased from the VIP Library System in World 3, apart from specific books from the VIP Checkout section.
When you consume a Star Talent Book, the max level is applied to all characters you have in IdleOn.

Some Talent Books give a random max level, so you'll need to find multiple copies of that book in order to get the Max Level.

Best Special Talents To Unlock
You have limited Special Talent Points, and some Talents are better to max out than others.
The above talents all affect how much damage you do and boost your fighting AFK rates.
Monolithialism can give significant Multikill %, increasing your kill rate when you AFK, especially now that Statues are very easy to farm. Equinox Clouds have also been expanded with Research, and you can hit +100% damage easily.
Rando Event Looty gives you +0.5% AFK rates per Random Event item you've found, but it only counts Unique items (not every random event item you've found). Still, you can get a decent amount of AFK rates here.
Early game the Goblet Of Hemoglobin used to be great for survivability. But there are now so many boosts to early game stats (like The Upgrade Vault) that this talent no longer is required.
Coins For Charon can give a decent Coin Boost; it's based on your Multikill level, which is affected by the Deathnote (amongst other things).
There are also several Special Talents that help boost your Skill Efficiency, allowing you to farm more resources from areas like Mining and Chopping. Don't sleep on these.
