Fishing Guide - IdleOn

Fishing is a World 2 Skill that you can learn at Yum-Yum Desert, allowing you to catch a variety of different Fish. Fish can be used to craft new items, upgrade stamps and gain bonuses in Alchemy.

To access Fishing, head to Yum-Yum Desert and take the portal on the left to Salty Shores.

How Fishing Works in IdleOn

Fishing How To

There are four maps you can fish at in IdleOn: 3 of them are available from Yum-Yum Desert and 1 can be found in World 3 (Equinox Valley).

Each map contains Fishing Spots that contain a specific pool of fish you can capture. Your Fishing Efficiency, which is used to determine what Fish you can get, is the main stat you'll want to look at upgrading.

If you open up the AFK Info window, you can see how much Fishing Efficiency you need to reach each depth.

To Fish, simply click on a Fishing Spot and your IdleOn character will start reeling in fish. At different depths, you'll find different Fish you can get. The Depth basically determines a % chance of what fish you'll get.

There are four depths for each Fishing Spot:

Green
Yellow
Red
Purple

You can also equip different types of Bait and Fishing Lines that can increase your chances of getting certain Fish at certain depths.

Fishing Rack

If you click on the Fishing Rack NPC, you can also adjust what bait you are using and what Fishing Line you want to use.

There is also a Fishing Mini-Game that allows you to obtain Fish depending on your score.

Fishing Mini-Game

Fishing Mini Game

Each day you get 5 tries at playing the Fishing Mini-Game. You can initiate it by going up to an Fishing Spot and clicking the Play Game option.

To play, you have to successfully launch the Fishing Bobble at the fish. You get 1 Point per successful fish hit. If you hit a mine, it's game over.

If you get 3 in a row, you'll be able to hit the Eel for 2 Points. If you hit 4 in a row, you'll be able to hit the Squid for 3 points.

You can boost the amount of Mini-Game plays you get per day by purchasing the Daily Minigame Plays from the Gem Shop. For 150 Gems, you get an additional +4 tries.

The Fishing Catching Mini-Game will reward you with EXP and Fish based on your score and the Pool you initiated the game from.
