Mining is one of the first skills you learn in IdleOn and you'll be using Mining all the way to end game. Mining allows you to mine ores, which are used for lots of different crafting recipes at the Anvil.

Every IdleOn player starts at Mining Level 1 and you increase this through Mining ores in Blunder Hills (World 1) or playing the Mining Mini-Game.
Every character can learn the Mining skill, but Warriors are the best class for Mining due to the skills they learn as they job-advance.
How Mining Works
Mining takes place in the mines of Blunder Hills (W1). It can be accessed from the left portal in the town map.
Mining is a fairly simple skill to learn: simply click on any ore deposit and your character will start mining. When you successfully mine, an Ore will drop as floor loot.
You can then turn Ores into Bars at The Forge in Blunder Hills.
The success rate at which you mine ores is dependent on your Mining Efficiency stat. This stat is increased in many different ways, including unique skills, mining level and equipment.
The following are other stats that can help boost Mining:

| Skill EXP | Improves your skill EXP rate |
| Skill Efficiency | Improves your Skill Efficiency |
| Skill AFK Gains | Increases your AFK Gain Rate for Skills |
Ore Deposits
There are several different maps you can mine on, with each map being locked behind a Mining Level requirement.
To mine at a particular deposit, you need to meet the Mining Efficiency requirements. If you use the AFK Window, you can see the requirements for any deposit you click on to mine.
Each Ore Deposit has it's own Mining Efficiency requirement. You need at least 5% Mining Efficiency to have a chance at getting ore from that deposit (which is actually 2.5% of 100% required).

Mining Mini-Game
Each day you get 5 tries at playing the Mining Mini-Game. You can initiate it by going up to an Ore Deposit and clicking the Play Game option.
The Mining Mini-Game has you control a mining-cart, and to earn points you must land the cart on ore deposits whilst avoiding the pit-holes and traps. You can press space/click to make the cart jump into the air and then press again to have the cart slam down.
You can boost the amount of Mini-Game plays you get per day by purchasing the Daily Minigame Plays from the Gem Shop. For 150 Gems, you get an additional +4 tries.
The Mining Mini-Game will reward you with EXP and Ores based on your score.
