Pet Companions in IdleOn give some of the best account-wide bonuses in the game, and with many of them costing real-life money, you'll want to choose wisely which ones to purchase. Here is our Tier List for Pet Companions, sorted by the pets that we think give the most impactful benefits.
For a full list of all pets in IdleOn, including how to obtain them, check out our Pet Companion guide.
Don't forget, you can now Trade Pets with other players in IdleOn. Pets purchased with Pet Crystals or that come from Gem Packs are tradeable. Pets obtained from Free Pet Rolls are not.
Pets are constantly being added to IdleOn, so this Tier List is based on our preferred pets.
- Tier S - The best Pets, well worth getting over all others and likely to give you the biggest boosts going forward.
- Tier A - Very decent pets to buy when you have enough Pet Crystals available.
- Tier B - Useful but not quite as important as A or S Tiers. Only buy these if you're overflowing with Crystals!
- Tier C - Avoid these unless you've got unlimited amounts of money!
- Tier D - You should get these last!
If you have a preference for a pet, leave a comment below and we'll update our Tier List!
Tier S Pets

- King Doot - All Divinities from World 5 count as Active

- Verminous - +10,000% additive Gold Food bonus effect and 1.50x multiplier to Gold Food
King Doot still remains one of the best pets in IdleOn, despite it being one of the first pets ever added to the game. It makes all your Divinity god's count as active, which means a massive 8 bonuses you get to share amongst all your characters. King Doot can also be now purchased from a rotating Pet Mart pack.
Rift Stalker seriously improves the World 7 Research Skill. Research is a huge part of World 7 and it adds many other bonuses for the rest of IdleOn, so it's well worth getting to help with progression
The rest could be pushed into A tier, but they offer massive boosts to critical stats like Damage and Drop Rate.

There are actually tons of Tier A pets in IdleOn; they give very useful bonuses when acquired but don't quite make the S Tier.
Poppy and Pufferblob pets will start making the Weekly Bonus Ballot become a lot more interesting and well worth planning around. Some of the World 7 Meritocracy Bonuses can give massive gains.
Smoke Devil and Koi Fish basically make Sneaking and Gaming tedious to play and allow you to unlock all the end-game rewards.
Rift Jocund is especially useful for pushing Worlds and unlocking maps.
There are also plenty of Pets here that give multi bonuses to coin drop rate.

You can also see there are a ton of Tier B pets. Many of these you'll want to get once you get closer to end-game and are pushing for those micro-gains. And many of these only become important when you've progressed further into World 7 Mechanics.
Bin Goosey is probably the only pet I'd put closer to A tier; it helps upgrading your Cooking meals by applying multi-bonuses through the use of Ribbons.
If you want to make Spelunking a doddle, the Mine Pet offers a massive 20x Spelunking POW bonus.
The Glimbo Pet is also nice for those pushing Sailing to the Transcendant tier.
Tier C Pets

- Frog - +10% Total Damage
- Sandy Pot - +15 Base All Stats (STR/AGI/WIS/LUK)
- Molti - +5% All Skill Efficiency

The bonuses from these pets are weak at best; many of these pets were more useful before World 7 features were added. Now you get plenty of sources for these stats that they really don't provide much anymore.
That being said, most of these can be obtained by using your Free Pet of the day.
Santa Snake was given out for free during Christmas in IdleOn 2025.
Tier D Pets
![]()

![]()
- Green Mushroom - 15% Accuracy
- Poisonic Frog - 15% Defence
- Baby Boa - +10% Class EXP
Most of these low-tier D pets come from the early Pet Companion tiers, meaning they're easy to get and you're likely to get multiple copies of them. You also now get one free pet per day, so these are very easy to get too.
