Gaming is a World 5 skill that rewards you with a new resource called Bits, allowing you to unlock various account-wide bonuses and upgrade several other features of IdleOn.
Your Gaming Skill level is shared between all characters, and increases by farming plants inside the Gaming UI.
How Gaming Works
Gaming is a skill that generates plants over time that you can harvest for a new currency called Bits. 
Your Gaming Garden is where your plants will sprout. Overtime they will increase in size and have the chance to evolve into other plants, which give even more Bits.
When you click the Harvest button, all plants that are currently in your Gaming Garden will be converted into Bits.
The Mutation Tab allows you to unlock various other plants; these mutations appear when a plant upgrades in size.
You can also use several tools acquired by purchasing them from the Imports tab. These tools will increase the amount of Bits you gain when harvesting.
Finally, the Superbits Tab gives you special account-wide bonuses you can unlock by spending your Bits.
The Gaming Palette was added in Patch V1.00 and allows you to unlock new account-wide bonuses.
The amount of Bits you obtain is slowly increased by the many different features unlocked in the Gaming Garden, as well as other areas of IdleOn (see Gaming Bonuse section).
Fertilizer
The Fertilizer section allows you to spend your Bits on three upgrades.
- Base Value - Increase the base value of how many Bits you get per plant
- Growth Cycle - Increase how often plants grow back
- Plant Storage - How many plants that can grow in your Gaming Garden at once.
You can also increase the amount of plants you can hold by purchasing the Lava Sprouts item from the Gem Shop.
Mutation
Mutations are special plants that grow in your Gaming Garden, offering various bonuses for increasing the amount of Bits you gain. This area is unlocked at Gaming Level 10.
In order for a Mutation to occur, you must first unlock it using DNA. You gain DNA strands when harvesting plants passively.
You can then spend the DNA on the Research button; you can store as much DNA as you like to increase the chance of unlocking a Mutation.
You can also upgrade the Evolution chance using Bits, which increases the chance for each plant to evolve.
Below you can find all the Mutations available in Gaming:

| Bonsai | Gives 4x Bits per evolution instead of the normal 3x Bits per evolution that other plants get |
| Cactus | Gives growth cycles to surrounding plants within 230 pixels. The more evolutions the cactus has, the more cycles it gives! |
| Blossom | Gives 2x more Bits when picked, and 5x more gaming exp too. |
| Voraci | Instantly grows plants, the amount based on Voraci's Evolution. These plants can be Sprouts, Fungi, Bonsai, Cactus, or Blossoms. |
| Berri Bush | Gives 7x more Bits when picked, and 3x more gaming exp too. |
| Evergreen | Gives up to 100x more Bits when picked, but the exact multiplier is random. It could be as low as just 1x Bits. |
| Chemical | Moves everything in garden ahead in time when picked. This includes import item cooldowns and growing all plants. |
Log Book
The Log Book logs all the different plants you have harvested at least once. Each entry in your Log Book gives you a Bits Multiplier.
Each time there is a growth cycle in your Gaming board, there is a chance for a plant to evolve. You can only evolve a plant based on your Max Plant Level, which you can view on the Mutation tab. This is increased through various unlocks in Gaming.
Sprouts can evovle up to 8 times

Imports
The Imports tab allows you to purchase various tools that can boost the amount of Bits you get from harvesting. This is available once you reach Level 20 Gaming.
Each Import can also has it's own level increased using Bits you have harvested.

Superbits
In the Superbits tab you can spend your Bits on permanent account-wide bonuses. You must unlock them in a specific order.

Duperbits is a brand new page of upgrades you can purchase with Gaming Bits. You can unlock Duperbits by defeating the second cave boss in Spelunking.

Gaming Palette
The Gaming Palette is a new feature added to Gaming in the World 7 Patch.
The Gaming Palette allows you to unlock brand new account-wide bonuses and level them up by harvesting plants in Gaming.
There are a total of 37 different bonuses to unlock, each one with their own unique color.
To be able to unlock new Palette Colors, you must first click the Enable Palette button via the Gaming Palette section. This will make Plants give 100x more bits but grow 100x more slower.
You can equip up to two different Palette Colors by default (you can increase this amount via Gaming Bonuses). When equipped, plants in your garden will then grow with those colors and can be harvested for a chance to Level Up and Unlock adjacent colors in the Gaming Palette.
When a Palette Color is unequipped, the bonus it gives still remains for all characters in IdleOn.
The Base Unlock Chance can be decreased by increasing your Palette Luck (from other Gaming Bonuses).
