MapleStory GMS will be getting a brand new class in the upcoming Stargazer update set to launch this summer! The new class is called Sia Astelle, which is being reworked exclusively for GMS after first appearing in MapleStory M, the mobile version of MapleStory.
MapleStory Summer updates are some of the biggest patches released, and GMS players will be able to experience brand new unique content that is exclusive to their region.
MapleStory Stargazer is set to release in two big updates. The first patch (V.260) will be released on June 11th and the second part (V.261) will be released in July.
New Class - Sia Astelle
A brand new class is being added to MapleStory GMS called Sia Astelle. She will be the first class from the Shine branch, so likely won't share cash-shop inventory with any character!
Check out Sia Astelle Skill Build Guide.
This class is currently only available in MapleStory M, the mobile version of MapleStory. As such, the new class will now be reworked to fit MapleStory GMS.
Sia is a Magician class that uses a unique combat system involving Constellation Skills that fuse together to deal high-damage attacks. The GMS team have stated they have made Sia focused on dealing damage, as opposed to it's implementation in MapleStory M where is offered several support skills.
To help make playing Sia easier, a new instant-activation system has been added, where skills will automatically be used to help make gameplay smoother. If you want to play Sia optimially however, you'll want to manually be activating Constellation skills to maximum DPS!
The MapleStory GMS team shared several videos of Sia's skills and abilities, taking on Hard Magnus and using flashy constellation skills.
They also previewed the new Skill Sequence mechanic, which all MapleStory Classes will be able to use. It will allow you to chain skills together so that when you're trying to burst down bosses, all the skills get activated at once.
Challenger World
A new temporary world called Challenger World will open up for both Reboot(Heroic) and Normal (Interactive) Servers, where characters can be transferred back to your original server once the world closes.
The Challenger World will have increased EXP rates and bonus stats given to newly created characters to help you power-level through the new world.
There will also be specific challenges available to Challenger World characters, such as defeating bosses and reaching level targets for special rewards.
Previously, only normal servers would get access to Burning World, but this looks like an updated version that is available to everyone!
Hyper Burning Max
Everyone will also get a new Hyper Burning Max character, which will allow you to gain 4 additional levels in one go, all the way to Level 260 to help you reach 6th job faster!
Other returning Burning Events are also expected, so we will likely see the Hyper Burning reward system return that gives you rewards for reaching level milestones. This is a great time for starting a brand new character!
