It's been a little while since we got any new information from MapleStory Classic World, but a new video titled MapleStory Classic World Origins was just posted on the official MapleStory YouTube Channel.
MapleStory Classic World has been teased and previewed throughout 2025, with a special in-development panel being showcased at MapleCon late last year. Now we get a new video for 2026, coinciding with the closed-offline test currently underway.
Classic World Origins Video
The new video gives us an official look at the Free Market, confirming that it is coming back in all it's glory. The Free Market is where players open up personal shops to sell their items, usually at the Free Market map. However, it looks like players can also open them up in town maps too based on the video.
This could mean there will be no Auction House (available in modern MapleStory).

Apart from the Free Market preview, we also got a glimpse of the Cash Shop Equipment items. At one point in the video, the player hovers over the item revealing no expiry date. Could this mean Permanent NX items are going to be available in Classic World?

Finally, the video ends with a player named April. Could this be a hint at a future test or even a release date? Share your thoughts below!
PC Cafe Event - Offline Test

If you want to have a chance of playing an early build of MapleStory Classic World, you can sign up for the MapleStory Classic World PC Cafe event that is currently underway. Players will get to play the game previewed at MapleCon for around 2 hours, allowing you to really explore all the new changes being made.
The build is very similar to the one shown at MapleCon, but attendees will be able to buy some merch and also share their thoughts via a Survey given to every player who attends.
This is an offline event, and you can book a spot for attending by visiting the MapleStory Website. The PC Cafe event lasts from Jan. 15, 2026 – Feb. 13, 2026 PT.
Walk-ins are also available, so if you're in the area, you might be able to go test without having to book a spot.
