MapleStory Classic Closed Online Test Announced for April

MapleStory Classic has announced it will be having a Closed Online Test sometime in April 2026. This will be the first online test that players all around the world will be able to play, however it will likely be invite-only.

During the latest Maple Memo, MapleStory GMS CPO Inkwell announced that MapleStory Classic will have Closed Online Test for 2 weeks starting in April 2026.

The Closed Online Test will be limited to 5,000 places, with priority given to those who attended Maple Con in 2025 and those who participated in the PC Cafe Testing sessions currently going on.

No details have yet been given on how you can apply for this Closed Online Test, but it does state that you will need to apply to join. 

Some interesting news in the Memo does state the Closed Online Test will include a new build that has changes made to it based on feedback they have been gathering from the offline tests.

This 'Online Test Build' will reflect feedback that Maplers shared in the Maple Con demo zone and the on-site test, so it will have some changes and adjustments applied to it. It's being prepared as a test to check the play experiences and gather opinions, centered on the main features and limited content, rather than being a final release version.

This does look like there will be more tests to come and that the final release for MapleStory Classic world is looking more likely to be Q3-Q4 of 2026. 

Inkwell did mention they will provide more details regarding the "future schedule and direction".
