MapleStory Franchise Revenue Growth
The Q2 2025 report shows MapleStory saw revenue growth in both Korea and GMS. The Korean version saw a 91% year-over-year growth for Q2, whilst the GMS version saw a 36% growth.
This comes after GMS made changes to how MapleStory was being developed in the West, including hiring new in-house developers and implementing custom content that no longer followed the strict Korean MapleStory development schedule.
The report also mentions that MapleStory Worlds saw a 7x Y/Y growth following it's worldwide expansion in April 2025. MapleStory Worlds is a platform that allows players to create their own custom games using MapleStory assets, such as Old-School MapleStory Servers.
They note it is particular popular in Taiwan, which makes sense as Artale is one of the most popular games streamed on Twitch by Taiwan players.
A new upcoming spin-off game called MapleStory: Idle RPG is set to launch later this year also!
MapleStory Universe's launch of MapleStory N (the cryptocurrency version of modern MapleStory) was also noted.
There was no mention of MapleStory Classic in the Investor Report, but this could be due to MapleStory Classic being a part of the MapleStory GMS game.
